VESUVIUS

A twenty minute crossing is all that it takes to get from Crofton on Vancouver Island to Vesuvius on Salt Spring.  Best known for the Vesuvius Pub, this small enclave tucked by the shore on the northwest side of the island is a convenient arrival/jumping off spot for those who don't cherish the thought of long waits in Fulford.  Vesuvius beach is great for picnics, swimming or just watching the sun go down...
