GANGES

The heart of Salt Spring commerce, Ganges is the largest and most popular of the three villages on Salt Spring.  Boasting many coffee shops, the Tree House Cafe with live music every night, Hasting's House serving Chateau-Relais quality dining, Moby's Pub for a casual bite, the famous Barb's Bun: a vegetarian's delight,  two marinas, several bookstores, innumerable galleries, Artspring for fine art shows and concerts, a disc golf course, fitness centre and the World-class Saturday Market, Ganges has a little bit of something for every visitor to the island.  Best to be prepared to walk a little rather than fight for parking in the core: Artspring has ample parking during the day so take advantage and have a little stroll through the Peace Park on your way to the shopping.
