BURGOYNE BAY Recently purchased as a park, Burgoyne Bay is now one of the most diverse parks on the island for hiking. Beginning at a parking area near the Government dock it is possible to hike to the summit of Mt. Maxwell from sea level: hiking this trail can be somewhat strenuous due to the nature of the terrain and rock...be careful! For the less adventurous but equally curious, hikes in the Burgoyne Valley are the most enjoyable. Exploring the old farmstead buildings is a good way to begin or end the day. Please respect the environment and stay on the trails! |
