Lumiere...light: the essence of photography.  I am at Nature's mercy when it comes to light, waiting for the quintessential moment when conditions are perfect for the images that I want to capture on film.  The light changes so much from day to day that I am presented with new material all of the time despite my working almost exclusively on Salt Spring Island.  This gallery will explore the different qualities of light that continue to fascinate me and that started me on my photographic journey to begin with...
